"At age 8 years old, I took an interest in politics and government. I could not get enough of reading and writing about it in social studies. I was fascinated with televised political party conventions, presidential debates, and election returns, etc.," ---Linda Lockett

I have worked with both major political parties. When I volunteered at a G8 Summit, it led to my interest in foreign policy and global studies as well.
Engagement: Connecting with students and finding new ways and formats to present material, learning objectives is an on-going benefit for student learning.
I assign special civic engagement assignments, role play, public opinion analysis, and design discussion and analyzation for case study of current polices, issues and court cases.
Innovative: Keeping abreast of cutting-edge teaching practices through professional development training and conferences has multiple benefits. for design of lessons to increase engagement, use of interactive tools for learning objectives, and with grading and assessment tools for the forthcoming AI- driven technology.
